Substation Mowing

Substation Mowing is part of maintaining safe and reliable electric infrastructure. 

Regular mowing helps keep substations clear of overgrown vegetation that could interfere with equipment or create safety hazards.

Rolling Hills Electric Cooperative, Inc. will accept sealed mowing bids beginning February 1 for four(4) SEPARATE areas to be bid individually:

The frequency of mowing is dependent on the weather to keep the areas well maintained. Trimming will be needed around poles and anchors, no fence trimming.

To submit a bid, please provide the following information:

  • Cost to mow all substations listed in each area, being bid per mowing
     
  • Ability to obtain $3 million liability insurance (proof to be provided before mowing season begins)
     
  • Current W9 form

BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED STARTING FEBRUARY 1 THROUGH MARCH 31.

Bid winners will be notified by April 30.
